Duane Brumitt owner of Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy a Karate and MMA studio in Bradley, IL is running a 197 mile relay race for the lives of others.
If you don’t know by now Karate Master Duane Brumitt was asked to be on a relay race team to run the Hood to Cost race. The Hood to Coast race is a 197 mile relay race that starts about 6000 feet above sea level on Mount Hood in Oregon and goes all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Hence the name “Hood to Coast”!
Mr. Brumitt will also be running this race with USA Olympic Athlete Lopez Lomong. You see back in February Justin Knight of Shine.FM gave Mr. Brumitt Lopez’s book and asked him if he would like to be a part of this relay race. After reading Lopez’s book “Running for My Life”, Mr. Brumitt happy said yes.
You see Nike is a sponsor of the Hood to Coast race and also a sponsor of Lopez. They gave Lopez so teams for the Hood to Cost race and Lopez gave those teams to Team World Vision. Justin Knight runs for Team World Vision and was given one of those teams. So of course Justin was looking for runners to be a part of the team he was in charge of.
So Karate Master Mr. Brumitt will not only be running with his team to complete a 197 mile relay race in the mountains but will also get a chance to run with a two time Olympic Athlete. Oh and more importantly do it for a great cause. If you would like to learn more about this race just view the video below now!
Mr. Brumitt thanks you very much for your interest and help with this race!
