Does Your 3-4 Year Old Struggle with Self-Control?
Our Tiny Little Ninja’s program can help them learn appropriate behavior in a fun setting.
Three and four-year-old children are naturally curious. They’re restless and eager to explore their surroundings – and to test boundaries and establish their identities. They might not be ready for the rigid structure of a traditional martial arts class, but they do need to start learning about appropriate behavior.

In the next few moments, I’m going to show you how you and your child can sample all of this, and more. With my Web Special!!!
Did you know that Martial Arts is 10 times better than Team Sports in developing a child’s self esteem and confidence?
Recent studies show that programs like ours that focus on personal achievement are vastly more effective than team sports!
Our program can and WILL help your child increase their confidence, self-esteem, & discipline. While teaching them life skills that will last them a lifetime and much more.
Please take a look below to find out exactly how your kid(s) can benefit from our program.
Thanks!
DOES YOUR 3-4 YEAR OLD
STRUGGLE WITH THESE THINGS?
They are shy and may have difficulty approaching other kids – or sharing in a play situation.
They don’t pay attention to their surroundings and may end up being unintentionally destructive as a result.
They lack control and can’t stay in one place long enough to eat a meal or watch a movie.
PARENTING CAN FEEL OVERWHELMING AT TIMES
LUCKILY THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION…
Exhausting does not even come close to describing how you feel as a parent when attempting to get them to behave, sit still, and even being what we call “present focused”.
The trick to helping your kid(s) at this age is to teach these skills while entertaining them at the same time. Your kid(s) love to play and when we introduce these skills, through play, your kid(s) will develop them while having fun!

Learning is a process. Our instructors understand the importance of the steps involved in learning and are capable to encourage and instruct a child while reinforcing the benefits to learning. Our instructors are trained to meet the needs of each individual, and how to reinforce proper development and behavior with little or no disciplinary action. We have established a positive learning atmosphere that makes learning and growing fun.
FOCUS AND TEAMWORK SKILLS
Your kid(s) have limited attentions spans. Your kid(s) will learn how to focus on the task at hand. This will help them become more “prepared” for pre-school and or kindergarten.
Through being exposed to positive interaction with other children your kid(s) learn social skills which will make them better leaders at school, home, and the dojo.
CONTROL AND DISCIPLINE SKILLS
Your kid(s) will learn how to respond & preform correctly. They will strive to be cool, which means not loosing their temper. They will also develop a never give up attitude. Which we like to call it “I Can Do Hard Things.”
Self-Control will be a staple of your kid(s) discipline skill… both in mind and body. With this skill your kid(s) will become better students both in and out of the dojo.
FITNESS AND COORDINATION SKILLS
Being physically fit is a necessity to live a long and healthy life. Fitness can be fun & rewarding, especially with kids this age because they have so much energy to burn. Your kid(s) will develop a passion for exercise that they can retain for their future.
Coordination is important for your kid(s) to have if they want to become a better athlete. Most of these skills are just expected of your kid(s), but they will develop this skill through martial arts.
That philosophy will carry into their adult lives as well…“With your help, we know that our children will learn the proper manners and respect for other individuals that is so sorely missing in today’s society. You teach our children that they should not blame others for their own failings. You also instill upon them the confidence in themselves that they need to succeed in life. You teach them that even though they may not do a move or a stance just perfectly, that they should never give up, that true success can only come from repeated trail and error. That philosophy will carry into their adult lives as well. In closing, my family all feel that we are all benefiting for the better from having met and interacting with you. We the world would be a better place if more people in this world shared your redeeming qualities. Our children and us will live fuller and more rewarding lives for having known you.”

How to I say this without getting emotional? I can’t…You have helped our family in so many ways. You don’t stop helping or teaching when you leave the studio. Tobie started Tri-Star just after his father passing away. His confidence level was low, he was acting out in class, and his grades could have been better. Within the first three months of being at the studio, his teacher called me in for a meeting and said to me that she didn’t know what I was doing at home, but to keep it up. She said his school work had improved 200%, he no longer was disrespectful, and she said his confidence level had much improved. Tobie is now in fourth grade and is a straight A student and in the gifted program. He respects you so much. He cares what you think of him in the studio and out. Tobie and Taryn lost their step-father last year. You cared so much about our family that you came and spent time with Kim in the hospital and also came out to the house and visited with him and I. Kim also had much respect for you. You have done wonderful things for our family that I can not truly thank you enough for. Thank you for having a huge impact on our family’s lives. God Bless!

Tri-Star Marital Arts Academy was founded by Duane Brumitt in February 1998. Duane has been practicing martial arts since 1991, when he began practicing martial arts at the age of 17. He quickly became proficient with basic, intermedi ate, and advanced material, and when he was given the opportunity to teach martial arts to others, he discovered a passion for teaching and seeing how martial arts could change other people’s lives.
Now, Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy offers classes in an eclectic martial arts for both adults and children. The style taught at Tri-Star Martial Arts has a traditional base of karate but uses a mix of styles, including Tang Soo Do, kickboxing, grappling, and Haganah. This mix has been developed by Duane over the years to make sure that the style he teaches is comprehensive.
The karate classes at Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy have three areas of emphasis: self defense, physical fitness, and character development. The physical fitness piece teaches timing, speed, coordination, balance, strength, and more. While the incorporated character development focuses on confidence and respect for self and others. Nearly 85% of the students at Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy are children, but adult classes are offered for adults who want to get in shape and learn self-defense and self-control.
We proudly serve Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, Manteno and the surrounding communities teaching karate and martial arts classes to ages 3 and up!
