Since February of 1998 , I’ve been nurturing children like yours with character building tools found only in karate. No other sport can match them.
In the next few moments, I’m going to show you how you and your child can sample all of this, and more. With my Web Special!!!
Did you know that Martial Arts is 10 times better than Team Sports in developing a child’s self esteem and confidence?
Recent studies show that programs like ours that focus on personal achievement are vastly more effective than team sports!
Our program can and WILL help your child increase their confidence, self-esteem, & discipline. While teaching them life skills that will last them a lifetime and much more.
Please take a look below to find out exactly how your kid(s) can benefit from our program.
Thanks![/text_block]

PARENTING A TEENAGE CAN BE EXTREMELY TOUGH

The key to getting through to kids at this age is to hold their feet to the fire when it comes to putting in the necessary work to achieve their goals. They need firm instruction and regular goals to keep them on track… and that’s where we come in.[/text_block]

YOUR CHILD WILL GROW WITH EVERY CLASS!

Our program teaches the the pride of follow through. The will to be able to “Do Hard Things” and that the small things they do count the most.[/text_block]

This is usually do to their lack of vision of the “WHOLE” picture.
Our program will help guide them in “S.M.A.R.T.” decisions making by teaching them how to set and achieve: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-Sensitive Goals.[/text_block]

It doesn’t matter what others say about you. It matters what you say about you. Peer pressure plays a big role in these ages. Kids worry so much what their peers think about them.
We teach kids that caring for others and not what others say is going to be a big key to their success in the future.[/text_block]

My child is more worried about being cool than about doing the right thing. Can this program help?
es. It’s common for kids at this age to be heavily influenced by their peers and to avoid doing anything that might be seen as uncool. We help them see the importance of behaving appropriately regardless of what other people think.
Can the program help my child make better decisions?
Yes. Decision-making is a key skill both in our program and in life. We show kids the value of weighing options and using their brains to make smart decisions – both in and out of our martial arts school.
My child doesn’t listen to a thing I say but takes advice from their friends all the time. Can you help?
Yes. Kids at this age love to challenge their parents and rebel. It’s part of growing up, but it can certainly be frustrating for parents. We emphasize the importance of respect and loyalty to family as one of our core values.

I know my child could excel physically, but they don’t seem to have any interest in putting in the work necessary to do so. How can your program help?
The program is designed to reward precision and persistence. Kids must commit to learning good form and being able to perform to a certain standard if they want to succeed – and those are skills that can carry over to the playing field, as well.
My child is shy and reluctant to do anything in front of an audience. I’m worried about what this means for the future – can these classes make them more confident?
Yes. All our testing happens in front of an audience of the students’ peers and instructors. They learn that they only thing they control is their performance and not to worry about what other people think.
Can the program help my child rise to challenges instead of running from them?
Yes. In our program, it’s common for kids to be frustrated as they try to learn new skills. Over time, they realize that avoiding challenges doesn’t help them – and that facing them helps to build confidence and self-reliance. We even have a mantra for this: “I Can Do Hard Things”

Now, Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy offers classes in an eclectic martial arts for both adults and children. The style taught at Tri-Star Martial Arts has a traditional base of karate but uses a mix of styles, including Tang Soo Do, kickboxing, grappling, and Haganah. This mix has been developed by Duane over the years to make sure that the style he teaches is comprehensive.
The classes at Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy have three areas of emphasis: self defense, physical fitness, and character development. The physical fitness piece teaches timing, speed, coordination, balance, strength, and more, while the incorporated character development focuses on confidence and respect for self and others. Nearly 80% of the students at Tri-Star Martial Arts Academy are children, but adult classes are offered for adults who want to get in shape and learn self-defense and self-control.
We proudly serve Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, Manteno and the surrounding comunities teaching karate and martial arts classes to ages 3 and up![/text_block]
