I have been incredible blessed to have never experienced losing someone that I am close to. Even though I haven't experienced a grieving process relating to death, I think that the advice given in this article is excellent.

During any time of difficulty, you have an important opportunity to assess yourself and your unknown strengths and weakness. Adversity also offers a test for your friendships and an opportunity to learn life lessons.

The most important thing I took away from this article was the importance of correctly handing your relationships before they come to an end. Thinking about how much you value your friends and family and openly communicating their importance to you is essential.

Even though we would like to hope otherwise, none of us knows how much time we have on this earth or how much time we will have with our loved ones. We should cherish the moments we do have and make the most of them so that we can have many happy experience and memories with those we care about.

Thanks for the great article!

This is a really great article. I think that it is important to identify your feelings and then decide how you are going to feel about events in your past.

Choosing to focus on the positive things in life and deciding to chase after the things that give you joy are awesome ways to move forward.

The vast majority of most people's lives is spent working at a particular job or with a particular organization. I agree that it is really important to research a position and company before accepting an opportunity to work with them.

I have found that re-decorating my work space and reading during my break times have improved both my performance and my attitude towards work in the past and are wonderful options to consider!

Great suggestions!

I think that slowing down is an important part of living a balanced life. I especially like the suggestion to find times when you feel hurried and brainstorm how to make those situations less hectic. If one takes steps to enjoy and reflect on life's activities, all of life will seem richer and more fulfilling.

I was very excited to learn that dark chocolate is good for your brain! I am also a big fan of blueberries and almonds. I'm seeing great ice-cream toppers: blueberries, dark chocolate, and almonds. I'll hold on the wild salmon as a dessert item. ;)

Thanks for posting these wonderful, healthy treats!

I had never considered thanksgiving as a step towards healing during the grieving process, but that makes a lot of sense. When you realize all the good that has come to you in life and remember how you've overcome during difficult times before, you're bound to feel better about your present circumstances. I also agree that allowing yourself to do things that relax you and give you a break from stress is a great way to heal.

Thanks for the advice!

It is a well known adage that the only thing you can be sure of in life is that there will be change. Even though everyone knows this to be true, working through times of change is difficult for most people. I think that this article speaks very well to the truth that fluctuating times can make you a stronger person, push you towards success, and motivate you to enjoy the adventure of life.

Most changes involve the loss of something important to us, but every change can also be viewed through the lens of what is gained. I am a big Dr. Who fan and one of his famous sayings seems appropriate: "If nothing ever ended, nothing would ever get started". I think that this quote outlines an importnat attitude to have when going through a time of transition.

Keeping a positive attitude and looking for the silver lining during times of change are essential actions one must take during transitions. For me, it is also always a comfort to know that, even when everything around me, and sometimes things inside of me, are changing, I serve a God who is always faithful and who never changes!

Thanks for the great perspective!
